Completion Rate
The U.S. Department of Education graduation rates, reported through IPEDS, are calculated as the proportion of an incoming cohort of first-time students who start full-time in the fall term and who graduate within 150% of normal time to completion. PBSC’s current IPEDS graduation rate (150% time) is 40%. The institutional goal is to continue to increase graduation rates for all undergraduate students.
Retention Rate
PBSC tracks fall-to-fall retention to determine student progression to completion. Fall-to-fall retention rates are recognized as the standard and highlight first-time-in-college students who continue enrollment to the next fall.
Re-Enrollment Rate
PBSC tracks fall to spring re-enrollment to measure students continuing their education from term to term.
Licensure Pass Rates
PBSC measures the number of students who take a licensure exam and successfully pass. Only select programs require a licensure exam to practice in their field.
Job Placement Rates
Job placement rates measure the percentage of graduates employed in their field of study. They are calculated by dividing the number of graduates employed in their field by the total number of graduates
